Booking Update for Summer 2024

Now that Sutton Croft have taken over the WCC short breaks contract, there will be a new booking system for families. We are waiting to hear how this will work and when it will go live. Sutton Croft say they will communicate this with families. We will also keep you updated as soon as we know more.

Poolbrook Club Update for Summer 2024

As many of you are aware, our site for the Poolbrook Holiday and Saturday clubs has been earmarked as the location for a new special school, for pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder. As a result, we have to find a new base for our Poolbrook clubs. After a long search of sites in Malvern and careful consideration, we have decided to move our Poolbrook clubs to Fort Royal School in Worcester. We will be moving the Poolbrook children over to Fort Royal clubs for summer clubs July/ Aug 24.
Our Poolbrook Saturday club is usually on the 3rd Saturday of the month, and this will remain on the same weekend but will take place at Fort Royal.
Our last Saturday club at Poolbrook will be on 20th July 2024.
Our first Saturday club at Fort Royal for Poolbrook children will be

Saturday 21 September 2024.
To our fantastic Poolbrook team will join us in working at Fort Royal and easing the transition for the children to the new location with its fantastic equipment and facilities for children with disabilities.

On behalf of everyone at Malvern Special Families, a huge ‘Thank You’ to the Lady Ryder of Warsaw Memorial Trust for your generous grant. It has helped our children and young people enjoy lots of exciting activities, so far including trips to West Midland Safari Park, swimming and a visit from West Mercia Police, who let the children explore and climb all over their emergency vehicles!

We are delighted to let you know we are introducing Tapestry at our Poolbrook and Fort Royal Clubs! We will use Tapestry to build a special record of your child’s experiences, development and learning journey through the fun times they have with us at MSF. Using photos, videos and diary entries, our play staff will share their observations and special moments with you, making a permanent record of each child’s unique journey.

The extra precautions we have taken over the last year of the pandemic has limited use of the yellow journals, so we think this will be a wonderful way to improve the way we share their achievements with you. We will be in touch very soon to get you all signed up and ready to share that first precious memory!

Thank you for you support in advance :)

Thank you for crowdfunding (Small).png

We have exceeded our target of £5337 in our first ever crowdfunding campaign! The heart-warming response to this appeal has been overwhelming and we will continue to support the children and families of MSF. Children are at the heart of what we do, and we thank each and every one of you that donated and has made them smile.
